Welcome to Materna Care. By booking our services or using our website, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before engaging our services.

1. Services:

Materna Care provides placenta encapsulation and related postpartum preparation services. Our services are intended to support postpartum wellbeing and are not medical treatments or medical advice. We reserve the right to refuse service where safety, hygiene, or legal concerns arise.

2. Client Responsibility: 

By using our services, you confirm that:

• You are at least 18 years old 
• The placenta belongs to you or you have legal consent regarding its release and handling 
• You have informed your healthcare provider of your intention to encapsulate your placenta 
• You have disclosed any relevant infections, illnesses, or pregnancy complications that may impact the safety of placenta preparation. It is the client’s responsibility to ensure the placenta is stored correctly after birth until collection.

3. Placenta Storage and Handling: 

For safety purposes:

• The placenta must be refrigerated within approximately 3 hours after birth 
• If not refrigerated immediately, it must be placed on ice and kept cold until collection 
• We cannot accept placentas that have been improperly stored, contaminated, or deemed unsafe for consumption. 
• We follow strict food safety and sanitation procedures during preparation; however, clients acknowledge that placenta consumption carries inherent risks.

4. Health Disclaimer: 

Placenta encapsulation is considered a complementary wellness practice and is not approved by medical authorities as a treatment for any physical or mental health condition.

Materna Care makes no guarantees regarding specific health outcomes, including but not limited to:

• Increased milk supply 
• Improved mood 
• Hormonal balance 
• Energy levels 
• Postpartum recovery 
• Clients are encouraged to seek professional medical advice for any health concerns.

5. Bookings and Payments: 

Bookings are confirmed once payment or deposit requirements are met.

Full payment must be made before the completed capsules or products are released to the client unless otherwise agreed in writing.

We reserve the right to adjust pricing at any time; however, confirmed bookings will honour the agreed quoted price.

6. Cancellation and Refund:

Due to the personalised and time-sensitive nature of our services:

• Deposits may be non-refundable 
• Refunds are not available once placenta preparation has commenced 
• Cancellation requests made before collection may be assessed on a case-by-case basis 
• If we are unable to provide the service due to unforeseen circumstances, a refund may be offered at our discretion.

7. Limitation of Liability: 

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Materna Care shall not be held liable for:

• Any adverse reactions related to placenta consumption 
• Loss, damage, or contamination caused prior to collection 
• Delays due to hospital procedures, transport issues, or circumstances beyond our control 
• Any indirect or consequential loss arising from the use of our services 
• Clients voluntarily choose to consume their placenta and accept all associated risks.

8. Privacy: 

We respect your privacy and handle all personal information confidentially in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

9. Intellectual Property: 

All content on this website, including text, logos, branding, and images, remains the property of Materna Care and may not be copied or reproduced without written permission.

10. Changes to Terms: 

We may update these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice. Updated terms will be effective once published on our website.
